TAPAH, 12 April 2025 – Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming expressed disappointment over Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) use of a caricature allegedly mocking Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Transport Minister Anthony Loke during the Ayer Kuning by-election (PRK) campaign.

He criticized the move as inappropriate and reflective of immature politics.

“Such malicious caricatures add no value to national development and only serve to distract from critical issues like Trump’s tariff war, which we must address collectively,” stressed Nga, who is also DAP Malaysia’s Deputy Chairman.

He emphasized that politics should focus on policies, development plans, and constructive proposals, not personal attacks or the cheap exploitation of religious and racial issues. Nga reaffirmed Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) full support for Barisan Nasional (BN) in the Ayer Kuning PRK to strengthen the Unity Government, ensuring national stability and Perak’s development in line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 vision.

“The nation needs politics that builds, not divides,” he said, urging a more responsible approach in the political arena.
