MRSM and SBP Admission System to be Streamlined Starting January 2026

LENGGONG, 21 April 2025 – Deputy Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has proposed streamlining the admission system for Maktab Rendah Sains MARA (MRSM) and Fully Residential Schools (SBP) starting January 2026. The announcement was made during his visit to MRSM Lenggong yesterday.

The initiative aims to prevent overlapping offers and ensure a more organized, equitable, and efficient admission process. Students can still apply to both institutions, but only one official offer will be issued to eligible candidates.

“We want to create an efficient, orderly system that does not disadvantage any party,” said Ahmad Zahid. He added that the proposal will be refined with relevant agencies to ensure students have access to quality education for a brighter future.
