KBS Champions Clean Sports through Play True Day 2025 Celebration

KUALA LUMPUR, 19 April 2025 – The Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), through the Anti-Doping Agency of Malaysia (ADAMAS), organized the Play True Day 2025 celebration today at the National Sports Council and Bukit Jalil National Stadium, advocating for clean and ethical sports in line with the MADANI Government’s aspirations.


Themed “Play True: It Starts With You”, the event was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Adam Adli Abd Halim, while the symbolic run was flagged off by KBS Secretary-General, YBhg. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu. The theme emphasizes collective responsibility in safeguarding sports integrity, supporting the global call by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).


Event Highlights

Key activities included: 


Play True Day 2025 Symbolic Run, showcasing the sports community’s solidarity for clean sports. 


Launch of ADAMAS Official Mascot, a tiger cub symbolizing spirit and integrity, with its name to be chosen through public involvement. 


Establishment of the ADAMAS Athletes’ Committee, led by tenpin bowling legend YBhg. Datuk Shalin Zulkifli, to amplify athletes’ voices and foster a fair and accountable sports environment. 


“Natural Is Enough” Campaign, promoting a clean sports lifestyle without prohibited substances, emphasizing success through genuine effort. 


ADAMAS X SIC Time Out Program on 26 April at Sepang International Circuit, combining wheeled sports, a fun run, and interactive anti-doping education exhibitions for youths and sports enthusiasts.


ADAMAS’ Commitment


As Malaysia’s National Anti-Doping Organisation (NADO), ADAMAS remains dedicated to inclusive anti-doping education, raising awareness of athletes’ rights and responsibilities. The Athletes’ Committee marks a strategic step to enhance athlete involvement in anti-doping policies.


Targeted Participants


The event targeted elite athletes, coaches, sports associations, students, grassroots communities, government agencies, and private sectors. It was supported by strategic partners, including the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, Olympic Council of Malaysia, and private entities.


Call to the Sports Community


ADAMAS urges the sports community to unite in fostering a culture of clean and ethical sports to produce competitive, principled MADANI athletes. “Play True: It Starts With You,” ADAMAS affirmed.
