KUALA LUMPUR, 14 APRIL – GWM Malaysia is set to redefine the premium off-road SUV segment with the upcoming launch of the highly anticipated GWM TANK 500 HEV. Following the success of the GWM TANK 300, this latest addition promises an unparalleled blend of adventure, luxury, and cutting-edge technology, an SUV designed to elevate every journey.

The GWM TANK 500 HEV boasts a powerful yet efficient powertrain that seamlessly merges performance with innovation. With unmatched off-road capabilities and refined premium comfort, this SUV is crafted for those who seek both rugged capability and sophistication. 

GWM TANK brand, the No. 1 Chinese off-road marque worldwide, brings its global dominance to Malaysia having surpassed 600,000 units in cumulative sales and held China’s best-selling off-road SUV title for 52 consecutive months with over 50% market share.

This luxurious 7-seater off-road SUV combines modern design with advanced off-road prowess. Its rugged exterior measures 5078 mm in length, 1934 mm in width, and 1905 mm in height, with a 2850 mm wheelbase. Powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder hybrid engine and paired with a 9speed hybrid automatic transmission, the GWM TANK 500 HEV produces a combined power of 255 kW（346Ps） and 648 Nm of torque. With Intelligent All-terrain system include 11 driving modes, as well as TANK Turn, and Off-road Cruise Control, it effortlessly tackles various terrains. Not only that,it comes with intelligent 4WD with M-Lock, a transparent chassis, and L2+ driving assist, and it is clear: this is the ultimate all-terrain luxury hybrid SUV.

Inside, premium features take center stage; NAPPA leather seats, an Infinity sound system, electric side steps, and front seats with both massage and ventilation functions, all designed to elevate the driving experience.
