KUALA LUMPUR, April 10, 2025 – This afternoon, the Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, together with the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), the Director-General of RELA, and the Selangor Police Chief, visited the Temporary Evacuation Center (PPS) in Putra Heights to express sympathy and meet victims affected by a recent incident.

He said instructions had been issued to immediately open counters for the National Registration Department (JPN) and Immigration Department at the PPS.

“Alhamdulillah, since the second day of their relocation, almost all victims have taken the opportunity to resolve their documentation issues,” he stated.

According to Saifuddin, the Madani Government remains committed not only to providing immediate assistance but also to seriously addressing the difficulties victims face in securing new housing due to high deposit requirements.

“This matter will be reviewed with the State Government to find a more comprehensive solution,” he added.

The Minister also praised the efforts of the involved agencies, counselors, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) who continue to work tirelessly.

“Although this incident occurred a few days ago, the mental and emotional impact, especially on children, remains evident. Psychosocial support is crucial in this situation,” he remarked.

He emphasized that this visit reflects the caring face of the Madani Government, which consistently goes to the ground, listens to the people’s grievances, and acts swiftly for their well-being.
