KAJANG, 11 April 2025 – The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) and the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to implement the Drug-Free Workplace Programme (TEKAD) and tackle drug abuse, corruption, abuse of power, and misconduct.

This marks the second collaboration within five years, aimed at eradicating drug abuse and corruption, fostering a culture of integrity, and ensuring operations align with government laws and policies.

Under this partnership, AADK will promote a drug-free work environment at MACC, deliver anti-drug messages, and provide training and rehabilitation programmes for MACC officers facing addiction issues. AADK will also assist in conducting urine screening tests. In return, MACC will support AADK in establishing robust governance, preventing corruption, and curbing misconduct among AADK personnel.

The agreement was signed by AADK Director-General Dato' Ruslin bin Jusoh and MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Dato' Sri KPj Hj. Azam bin Baki.

In a separate development, AADK’s Integrity Unit made history by obtaining the Quality Management System certification (ISO QMS 9001:2015) from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) this year. Covering complaint management and integrity investigations, this achievement makes AADK’s Integrity Unit the first in Malaysia to secure the certification without any Non-Compliance Reports (NCR) or Opportunities for Improvement (OFI).

This success positions the unit as a benchmark for other integrity units nationwide, reflecting AADK’s commitment to international-standard governance. The certification was presented by Tan Sri Azam to the Director of AADK’s Integrity Unit, Zulfikri bin Abd Manaf, witnessed by Dato' Ruslin.
