PUTRAJAYA, 21 March 2025 – The MADANI Government has approved Special Financial Assistance for Hari Raya Aidilfitri 2025, as announced today by Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The aid includes RM500 for civil servants at Grade 15 and below (equivalent to Grade 56 and below), including contract staff, and RM250 for government retirees, covering pensioners, derivative pension recipients, EPF retirees, and veterans. Costing RM900 million, this assistance will benefit over 2 million recipients and will be distributed before Aidilfitri.
Anwar stated that the initiative considers the public’s expenditure needs, made possible by increased government revenue through public financial restructuring. The government hopes this aid will ease the financial burden on civil servants and retirees while motivating them to continue serving with dedication.
Additionally, Phase 2 of the Rahmah Cash Assistance (STR), worth RM1.7 billion for 9 million recipients, will commence on 24 March 2025.
