KUCHING, MALAYSIA – 19 February 2025 – The highly anticipated EIC CONNECT Energy Borneo 2025 is set to take place in Hikmah Exchange Event Center, Kuching, Sarawak, on 25 – 26 February 2025. Organised by the Energy Industries Council (EIC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability Sarawak (MEESty), supported by Business Events Sarawak (BESarawak), and the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), the event will serve as a vital platform for energy professionals, government representatives, and business leaders to discuss the latest trends and opportunities in the energy sector, with a strong focus on sustainability and energy transition in Southeast Asia.
The Right Honourable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak has been invited to officiate EIC CONNECT Energy Borneo 2025, further underscoring the event’s significance in shaping the region’s energy transition and sustainable future.

Net Zero as a Catalyst for Economic Prosperity will explore how transitioning to a low-carbon economy can drive investments, job creation, and innovation in the energy sector. Enhancing Energy Security in the Region will address the need for diversified energy sources, resilient infrastructure, and strategies to ensure a stable and affordable energy supply. Regional Interconnectivity and Cooperation will emphasise the importance of cross-border energy projects, policy harmonisation, and collaborative efforts to achieve ASEAN’s sustainability goals.
