He expressed hope that the opening of the office would help develop more successful entrepreneurs in Membakut and Kimanis.
“All great things start from small beginnings, just like the opening of the TEKUN Kimanis Branch office. I am confident that this new office will facilitate entrepreneurs and further boost economic activities here.
“This is part of the improvement initiatives in the delivery of services by the MADANI Government through ministry agencies, and I am confident that TEKUN Nasional will continue to excel in providing the best services to the community, especially informal and micro-entrepreneurs,” he said.
He made these remarks during his speech at the official opening of the new TEKUN Nasional Kimanis Branch office in Membakut Jaya yesterday.
Ewon added that under the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development’s (KUSKOP) Domestic Look East Policy, he is committed to giving additional focus to Sabah and Sarawak in the movement for entrepreneurship, cooperatives, and education development.
Therefore, he said, the opening of KUSKOP agency offices in Sabah is among the initiatives to provide better services to Malaysians in the Borneo region.
“The opening of this branch also stems from the requests of local leaders in Membakut, namely YB Datuk Mohamad Alamin, Member of Parliament for Kimanis, YB Datuk Dr Haji Mohd Arifin Hj Mohd Arif, State Assemblyman for Membakut, and Rowindy Lawrence, a member of the TEKUN Nasional Board of Trustees.”
