PUTRAJAYA, 2 April 2025 – The National Registration Department (JPN) will provide free replacement services for identification documents to victims of the gas pipe fire incident in Putra Heights. Victims who lost their identity cards, birth certificates, or other JPN-issued documents can obtain replacements at no cost. The JPN MEKAR Bus will be stationed at the Temporary Evacuation Centre (PPS) at Masjid Putra, Putra Heights, tomorrow, 3 April 2025 (Thursday), from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Recognizing the urgent need for victims to replace their identification documents, the Home Minister, YB Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Bin Ismail, has directed JPN to deploy the MEKAR Bus service to the affected area. This initiative aims to ease the burden on victims, who are likely facing difficulties visiting JPN offices during this challenging time.

The effort is also intended to ensure that fire victims can quickly obtain essential documents, facilitating any official matters requiring such documentation in the future.

JPN remains committed to providing the best assistance to affected communities and hopes this initiative will support victims and their families during these trying circumstances.

For further inquiries regarding this service, the public can contact JPN at 03-8880 7077.
