SHAH ALAM, 16 March 2025 – The 18th DAP National Congress and the election of the party’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) concluded yesterday, with Bangi MP Syahredzan Johan successfully elected as a CEC member for the next three-year term.
He was also appointed as DAP National Vice-Chairman by the CEC, a responsibility he accepted with full commitment to ensuring the party remains the top choice for Malaysians from diverse racial and religious backgrounds.
“Thank you to the delegates who have placed their trust in me to join the DAP CEC. I also extend my gratitude to the CEC for this appointment. God willing, I will carry out my duties to the best of my ability to advance DAP,” Syahredzan said in a post on his official Facebook page.
His appointment as National Vice-Chairman is seen as a strategic move to strengthen DAP’s position in the nation’s political landscape, aligning with the party’s ongoing efforts to garner support from Malaysia’s multi-ethnic populace.
In yesterday’s election, Syahredzan secured the 20th position, receiving 2,065 votes.
