PUTRAJAYA, March 5, 2025 – Regarding a recent controversial incident involving a radio DJ issuing an apology, Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the legal process would proceed if a police report has been lodged.
“An apology is a positive step, but if a report has been made, the police will investigate to determine whether there is a basis for prosecution,” he said in response to reporters’ questions during a press conference held in conjunction with the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) Iftar event last night.
He also emphasized the importance of awareness in maintaining sensitivity toward race, religion, and culture in Malaysia.
“We need to understand each other to live in harmony.
“However, since a police report has been lodged, we will leave it to the investigation,” he stated.
