PUTRAJAYA, March 5, 2025 – Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail confirmed the discovery of the body of an officer from the Ministry of Finance (MOF) this morning.
Speaking at a press conference held in conjunction with the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) Iftar event, he said preliminary information had been received, but no further comments could be provided at this stage.
“This morning, I can confirm that the incident occurred. The discovery of the body was reported today, and the next steps will be taken over by the police to determine the cause of death and conduct a thorough investigation,” he said.
He stressed that it is too early to make any speculations, and the police will release further information if necessary.
“We leave it to the police team, and God willing, updates on the investigation will be shared when appropriate,” he added.
