KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA 18 Feb 2025 – The Home Minister, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, is confident that the appointment of Datuk Abdul Aziz Abdul Razak as Commissioner General of Prisons starting from February 14 will be carried out with full dedication.
He stated that Abdul Aziz is also believed to continue being committed to reforming the services and operations of the Malaysian Prisons Department.
“Congratulations to Abdul on his appointment as the Commissioner General of Prisons.
“As the new Commissioner General of Prisons, I believe he will continue to be committed to bearing this great responsibility with full dedication and will bring reforms to the services and operations of the Malaysian Prisons Department,” he said on Facebook.
He also hopes that Abdul Aziz will execute this great responsibility and the Malaysian Prisons Department will continue to achieve success and create a positive impact.
He added, not only for the inmates but also for society as a whole.
During his 35 years of service, Abdul Aziz has held various significant positions such as Director of Bentong Prison, Director of the Prison Policy Division, and Deputy Commissioner General of Prisons (Rehabilitation).
Abdul Aziz holds a Bachelor of Science in Resource Economics from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and a Master of Arts from Universiti Malaya (UM).
